Pass It On Most
of the members at Lighthouse have been through a basic ten-week
discipleship program. However, last year we introduced
a more intensive thirty-week course and several volunteered
for it. It has been exciting to see them ask spiritual questions
and grow even more in the Lord. Additionally, a few of these
have started discipling new converts in these lessons. This
has given them new challenges to grow in the Word of God
and several times we have had calls inquiring how to answer
a new convert’s question. We pray that they will continue
to grow and not only disciple converts but lead others to
the Lord.
Back To School This semester Andy is teaching a course on cults at the Chinese
Baptist Bible College. So far, there are eight students enrolled
in the course which covers cults like Mormons and Jehovah’s
Witnesses, as well as a few that are more particular to Taiwan.
Please pray for God to bless as this is a great challenge
at our level of Chinese. We are also happy to report that
Lighthouse member Angel Hsie has enrolled in some classes
and desires to learn more about how to serve the Lord in
children’s and ladies’ ministries.
We Care Taya Bible Baptist Church is involved in a fall campaign called “We
Care” with the goal of increasing attendance and motivating
people toward outreach. The campaign will end with a missions
offering Sunday as we focus on caring for souls around the
world. Please pray that Christians will truly have a burden
for others and will become more involved.
In closing, we ask you to also pray for our continued good
health and for wisdom in planning our upcoming church anniversary
and Christmas outreach services. Thank you for joining us in
the task of rescuing lost Chinese souls and encouraging them
to follow the Lord!
