It’s A Real Jungle In Here!
Vacation Bible School at Lighthouse Baptist is one of the highlights of our summer activities each year.  Children and adults in the neighborhood look forward to it because they want to see our theme and the fun we can have in developing it for the children.  This year our theme was “Jungle Adventure” and so we set out to transform our building into a jungle so that they could have a great time and we could share the gospel with them.  Everyone pitched in and really did a great job getting things ready. Several thousand fliers were passed out throughout the area and response seemed positive.  We were greatly blessed by a good attendance each day that turned our small building into a “jungle” of more than seventy children!  In addition, some parents came with their kids and also listened intently.  There were many first time visitors as well as those who every year can only attend this activity.  Among those who responded for salvation was Willy Wang. He had previously wanted to be saved, but his mother was afraid he did not understand and only wanted to please us.  However, this time he did pray and accept Christ as his Savior.  A few others faced the same situation with parents feeling that they were too young to make this decision.  Please pray for them to be able to come back and to continue to be tender and receptive to the gospel.
Daya Bible Baptist also held VBS and the people did an equally impressive job in decorating and preparing the building with the jungle theme.  Although attendance was not as good as hoped for, a good group of teenagers came each day to help.  One of those teens was high school freshman Landy Tsao.  She has been attending for more than a year and has expressed interest in salvation but still had some questions.  Praise the Lord she was able to talk with Miss Emily Lou, who helps teach the VBS lessons each year, and settle the matter of salvation!
So far it has been a good summer with some salvation and dedication decisions.  Please pray that as we leave the vacation time and folks head back to a more normal routine, that they will not forget the spiritual decisions they made and fall back.
Thank you again for your continued dedication in praying and giving so that souls in Taiwan may be saved.  Your faithfulness is making a difference!

For souls,
