Skilled Missionaries Offering Relief Service

SMORS is a program started by the BBFI in September 2000 for the purpose of relieving missionaries for furlough in areas where there are no national pastors that can do it.

Bill & Dorothy Merritt were the first missionaries to go into the program. They entered the program at their reinstatement as missionaries in September 2000. Their first relief work was in North Wales where they arrived on May 28, 2001 and will finish on June 26, 2002.

Lonnie & Georgina Brooks were added when they were changed from missionaries from Kenya to SMORS. They were already doing this kind of work.

Marvin & Pat Matthews were then added when they were changed from missionaries from Australia to SMORS.
