Merritt's Prayer Letter

June 1 2002

Dear Friends::

June will be a very busy month for us as we wrap up our ministry here in North Wales. We will arrive in Springfield on June 26. We are praising the Lord for the great ministry He has given us the past year. The blessings are so many that it would be impossible to number them. We are thanking the Lord for those that were saved and baptized and also for spiritual growth in the lives of the Lord's people as they studied the Word of God with us.

We want to thank the Having for their confidence in us to ask us to come and take their work for the year as they furloughed in the States. It has been an experience that we will never forget. It will be hard for us to leave all the friends that we have made in North Wales. We have already had two missionaries in the U. K. contact us about relieving them later on so it looks as though we will be returning to the United Kingdom someday.

A Note From Dorothy:

The ladies retreat was one of the high lights for me in the month of May. It was held in Nantwich which is a lovely town in England about 2 hours drive from our home. There were four ladies that attended from Lebanese. I was encouraged to see over 70 ladies from different churches there from May 15-17. The theme was “Bee Joyful” from the book of Philippians. The four things that can rob us of our joy are Circumstances, Things, People and Worry. It is wonderful to learn how to have victory over these four things in our lives so we can be joyful in God's service. I thank God for ladies that took a few days to grow more in their spiritual life to serve God here in the U. K.
