26 Baptized in October
In October we baptized 13 new
believers in our Phnom Penh
church and 13 more new
believers in our Prey Veng
church. Pictured at left is
Rheeum getting baptized. He
was a Buddhist monk, but now
he’s saved and following the
Lord Jesus Christ
Four young men were saved
during a week-long visit to Prey
Veng. The church there invited
me to come out and spend a week. During the week, I
taught a concentrated course on
the Book of Proverbs and
taught English everyday. This
past Sunday, a teenage girl
named Srey Thom trusted the
Lord Jesus as Saviour. God is
really blessing our work in
recent months with souls saved
and new believers baptized.
We have youth meetings every
Sunday from 3 to 5 pm. We are
seeing 40-60 youth
coming out.
Needs of the Ministry
We
are still lacking approximately $5,000-$6,000
towards the completion of our
church building. Our Cambodian
brethren purchased a plot of
land and began the construction
themselves while we were on
furlough last year. They gave
the initial $15,000 for the land
and beginning construction.
Folks, this was very sacrificial on
their part! Our Cambodian
brethren are poor people. This is
their life’s savings. We have
raised approximately $20,000 in
the past 12 months for this church building. It is used
for our church and Manna
Worldwide Feeding Center.
We
are also in need of a 250 cc motorcycle. There is one
for sale in Phnom Penh for
$1,200. This is important as
it gives me the mobility I
need to get into places when
the roads are
not good.
