Dear Praying Friends,
Greetings from the highways and byways of America! As
most of you know, we are on a brief furlough now. We
are reporting to our supporting churches and also attempting
to raise some additional and much needed
support. We plan to return on furlough every two and
a half to three years, Lord willing.
News
from Cambodia:
-
Phanit, one of our orphans, fell from a tree and
broke his leg in two places. He is recovering
now
from his surgery. Thank you for helping us with
the
cost of his surgery!
-
Our members in Cambodia
are now starting two new
works in Kandal Province. One work is being started
in Koang District and Bros. Bunna, Vannak, and VeeTou
are heading up that new work. The other new work
is in Bang Angkay Commune, Kien Svay District, Kandal
Province. James, Dara, Srey Ny, and Veasna are
heading up this new work. Pray for these "house
churches."
-
We are trying to buy
land and build a new building
for the church in Phnom Penh. The
land will cost
$12,000. The building will cost another $45,000.
Please pray and seek the Lord about helping in this
project. This will be an important training center
as
the nationals are trained and sent out into the
countryside and villages to plant churches.
Prayer Requests:
-
Pray
for us as we travel. Pray that God
will help
us raise new support and funds for
special needs.
Our MANNA orphanage needs a van. Lord
willing,
we'll buy a Toyota van. The approximate
cost is
$10,000. Over $6,000 has come
in towards this need
already.
-
For large appliances
for the MANNA orphanage,
$1,500.
-
For the training of national workers in church
planting throughout Cambodia
-
For the planning of
future creative outreach
ministries into Vietnam, Laos, and Burma
-
For the young men in
our ministry who are called of
God to be pastors and missionaries
-
For
shipping costs for goods that we are sending to
Cambodia, $2,000.
-
For necessary deposits
and more furniture as we
consolidate our home and the MANNA orphanage
into one
common property, $2500.
Please see our "Special Needs" page for more
information.
Thank you and God bless you!
