Prayer Letter
January 2009

Dear Prayer Partners,

RefresHer 2009

We want to praise the Lord for what He did in our midst in January 2009. Melanie got to host the 2nd Philippines National Women's Conference - RefresHer 09, along with our ladies leadership team as well as speakers and partners from the US - Mrs. Greta Brown, Somerset, KY, Karen Baird, MANNA Worldwide, Mrs. Lora Hooge, Philippines and Jami Marion, Decatur, TX. There were over 600 ladies who attended this conference and 42 received Jesus Christ as their Savior. Melanie was able to invite many public high school teachers who came and were blessed by the conference. We also appreciate other BBFI churches from our area who participated and made this such a great day.

We had a great month at Sumulong Baptist Church in January as well. We were able to do high school outreaches in two different high schools which were followed up by a special youth service where we had 148 in attendance. Along with our visitors from Ohio, Texas, Kentucky and MANNA Worldwide, we were able to go into neighborhoods and even paint a Sunday School building. Throughout the month of January we were able to see 520 people receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

Upcoming Events and Prayer Requests
April 2009 - Youth Camp is April 14-17 and 21-24 in 2009.
It's Camp time again. Last year, we saw many long lasting results of camp - greater involvement from our young people in ministry, increased attendance in our youth services and 2 young people who surrendered to missions confirmed that they will go back to Cambodia. Youth camp can have such a big impact in the life of a young person. We are asking people once again to partner with us to help sponsor over 1000 young people who wouldn't be able to afford a youth camp like this unless someone helps support them. We are trying to raise $20 per camper; the support you give will make a difference for eternity in someone's life this year.
10 campers == $200
20 campers = $400
50 campers = $1000
100 campers = $2000

Could you help sponsor a camper this year?  Please mark sponsorship: Youth Camp 2009 on your check to BBFI.

Legacy Project Update
We will be sending another update on the Legacy Project in the next few weeks. God is working in our land and building project. We have two pieces of property we are actively pursuing; we have raised $160,000 so far. Along with commitments, BBFI funds and the future sale of our current property, our commitments are over $500,000. We still need to raise $600,000 - $700,000 for the Legacy Project. Thank you to all of you who have given to this project and have prayed for us - keep praying! God is answering your prayers.

          Thank you for your faithful support of our ministry through finances and prayer.

In Christ,
The Gotchers
