Dear Friends,
Janice and I send you greetings from Jakarta. We trust this letter finds you folks all doing well. We do appreciate your faithful prayers and financial support of the ministry here over the past two months.
Brother Jim Daley and I have recently returned from spending ten days on Nias island. One of the main goals of the trip was to begin making preparation for the distribution of the Bibles to the junior high schools on Nias. Preparations were made to contact the various education officials that will need to be involved in the Bible distribution and to gather information on all the different junior high schools in North Nias. We were also able to find a secure place to store the Bibles in preparation for their distribution. Brother Bazatulo Telaumbanua (Ama Luther) will gather the information and begin to make preliminary plans for starting the distribution of the Bibles the last week of July 2008.
Before Brother Daley and I went to Nias, we learned that we had been misinformed about the number of Bibles that would be needed in order to distribute Bibles to the junior high schools on the whole island of Nias. We were told, that the 20,000 Bibles that we have already printed would only be enough for the junior high schools in North Nias, and would not be sufficient for the junior high schools in South Nias. While we were in Nias, Brother Daley and I looked into the problem and it became clear that we need to print more Bibles in order to be able to distribute Bibles to the junior high schools in South Nias as well.
After our return to Jakarta, Brother Daley and I decided to order 10,000 more Bibles. Take a look at our payment schedule and you will see that we will need another $30,000 to pay for these Bibles. Right now, we have enough funds on hand to make the first payment and part of the second payments We will need

to raise enough money for the next two payments on these Bibles (about $12,500). Added to that we will need to raise money to ship the Bibles to Nias and pay transportation costs that will be incurred during the actual distribution of the Bibles. We do want to ask you to continue to pray for this project. Also, we want to encourage you to involve your church in providing the funds that we still need to purchase the extra 10,000 Bibles and for the costs that will be incurred in the distribution of these Bibles.

South Nias pastors, wives and church workers with Brother Daley. |
While we were in Nias, between Brother Daley and I we were able to visit most of our churches on the island. We also were able to gather the pastors of
South Nias together for a time of teaching and fellowship. Please pray for our Nias pastors as they face many challenges.
The churches here in Jakarta are doing well. Most of the churches continue to grow even though they face opposition from within their communities. We do ask you to continually bring our pastors and churches here in Jakarta to the Lord in prayer.
I continue to teach in our Bible school. I have a good group of students at both our Palmerah and Mampang campuses. The pastors in the western suburbs of Jakarta have opened a branch of our Bible school out at Pastor Raso's church which is also doing well. Pray for our students. Right now, we have several places where we could start new works if we only had more trained pastors and Christian workers.
Personally, both Janice and I are doing fine. Janice appreciates your prayers as she has continued to recover from a nasty mosquito borne viral infection (chikungunya). She is feeling much better. Janice continues to dose me with various vitamin and herbal cures which are aimed at protecting me from the Jakarta pollution and my own stupidity!
For you faithful prayers and financial support we are truly thankful.
In Christ,
