LLOYD AND EDITH BAKER
MISSIONARIES TO THE PHILIPPINES

February - March 2011

Dear Praying Friends:

The Global Fellowship in Cebu City was excellent in every way.  I was told there were 1498 out of town guest who attended the meeting.  Almost 3000 were present for the first night in the Cebu Convention Center.  The messages were outstanding.  It was a great meeting.

Our trip go Springfield went well until we got to Atlanta.  Due to bad weather and aircraft problems we were delayed for 21 hours.  We arrived in Springfield on thye 10th of March. We have worked through jet lag and ajusted to Central Daylight Saving Time.  The weather has been something else.  Spring in the Ozarks this year has been really wet with major floods and tornadoes .  And it has been cold. Praise the Lord for an electirc blanket.

We are staying north of Springfield in a cozy two bedroom apartment in a country setting.  It is quite different from the noisy, traffic infested streets of Manila.  And we are enjoying the peace and quiet, green pastures and the cattle and horses.

We have both and complete physical examinations and the doctors have told us we are "disgustingly healthy."  Praise the Lord!

The first week of July candidates who have applied to ABC will be interviewed.  Immediately following this the Missionary Training Seminar will be held and about 30 people will attend this intensive one week training session.  Please pray for these two events.

It is our privilege to be one of your representative to the Philippines and through the Asian Baptist Clearinghouse to 35 other nations as well.  We are extremely grateful for your prayers and support.

Because of Calvary;

Lloyd and Edith Baker
