Dear
Praying Friends:
Two thousand eight left with a bang (literally) and two
thousand nine arrived the same way. New Year's Eve is always
one noisy night with numberless thousands of fire crackers
exploding. Our ministry for the New Year also started with a
bang!
January 1
we drove to Iba, Zambales where we spoke in a three-day
Couples Retreat for pastors and their wives. We had a grand
time with Paul and Tina Ebert, who sponsored the event, and
the 42 people who attended. On January 4 we helped the Bible
Baptist Church of Allegre, Pasig celebrate their Family Day.
Then I took the bus on Tuesday, the 6th, to Baguio for the
annual Pastor's Retreat and arrived in time to speak that
evening.
Other
events included speaking at a Prayer Fellowship in Sta.
Rosa, the 9th World Mission Conference of Bethany Baptist
Church, Makati, and supplying the pulpit at Baptist Bible
Church in Sta. Mesa, Manila. On the 8th of February Lapasan
Baptist Church in Cagayan de Ore City, in northern Mindanao,
invited me to speak for their Faith Promise Commitment Day.
Their Faith Promise for the year amounted to $53,500.
The last
Sunday of February the Fundamental Hillside Baptist Church
of Fairview, Novaliches celebrated their 10th anniversary.
It was my privilege to help organize that church in 1999.
The church was packed and the Lord blessed with 25 people
being dealt with about their relationship with Christ.
Your
prayers and financial support reminded us again how good it
is to be a part of your mission ministry. Thank you for
